Artintech’s Process Improvement Event Empowers Ontario SMEs

Toronto, ON, 26 October 2024, Artintech Inc. welcomed owners, managers, and professionals from small- and medium-sized enterprises to 88 Doncaster Avenue in Markham for a full-day process improvement event for SMEs that showed how streamlined workflows can cut waste, increase productivity, and strengthen competitiveness.

A Vision of Future-Ready Processes

Opening the program, Dr Amir Harandi, a Strategic Management expert, explained why aligning daily operations with long-term strategy is critical. He described emerging trends, such as automated data capture and continuous improvement cycles, that will reshape business processes over the next decade.

Process Mapping Fundamentals

Next, Mojtaba Gheysar, Senior Lead Auditor, guided attendees through the essentials of mapping end-to-end workflows. By visualising each step on paper or digital whiteboards, he showed how teams can expose bottlenecks, re-assign tasks, and optimise resources, a first move toward measurable gains.

Gap Analysis in Plain Language

After a networking break, Dr Ali Izadi, also a Senior Lead Auditor, demystified gap analysis. Using practical checklists and real Markham SME examples, he taught participants how to benchmark current performance against desired targets, score gaps by impact, and draft action plans that win leadership support.

Systems Implementation for Growing Firms

In the afternoon, Rashid Golchin, Senior Consultant, shared success stories in which modest technology investments delivered outsized returns. He highlighted cloud-based dashboards that give owners near-real-time insights and lightweight ERP modules that scale as companies expand, proving that effective process improvement events for SMEs do not need enterprise-level budgets.

Collaborative Roundtable Q and A

A lively Q and A wrapped up the day. Attendees compared challenges such as long purchase approval cycles and fragmented data storage. Speakers answered with step-by-step advice, creating an environment where ideas flowed freely and new partnerships formed. Participants left with concrete next actions and renewed confidence in continuous improvement.
